Join us on Saturday April 2nd at W139 to raise funds for Ukrainian art communities & Museum Crisis Fund ‘Ambulance Museum’. How To Set Your Signs on Fire is a mixed event with performances, interviews, DJ’s. Above all, it is a call to action to support endangered Ukrainian art and artists through protest signs and donations. This fundraiser is an initiative by artists Sophia Bulgakova and Nikolay Karabinovych, supported by W139, STAMPA and us, FIBER Festival.

On February 28th, the local history museum, which contained unique works by the Ukrainian folk artist Maria Primachenko, was destroyed in the village of Ivankiv, Kyiv region. On March 16th, the Donetsk Regional Drama Theatre in Mariupil was bombed, which was reportedly used as an air raid shelter during the siege of Mariupol, allegedly holding 1,300 civilians in the days before. On March 23rd a museum in the besieged Ukrainian port city of Mariupil, dedicated to the 19th-century artist Arkhip Kuindzhi, was destroyed during shelling by Russian troops.
