With a particular interest in the proximity senses (smell, taste and touch), Yolanda concentrates her research on the synesthetic connections between sound and smell. Searching ways to broaden the margins of our senses, she uses digital tools combined with DIY perfumery, exploring materials or messing around in the Fab-Lab. Her work materialises in installations and performances that have been presented at festivals like Sonic Acts (NL), WRO Media-Art Biennale (PL), Kontraste (AU), STRP (NL), SPARK (USA), Todays Art (NL), Oddstream (NL), Transmediale (GR) etc.
